The Myanmar Buddhist Association of Tennessee

The Myanmar Buddhist Association of Tennessee (MBAT), Inc. is a Theravada Buddhist association and temple that was founded in 2014. It is now led by the Ven. Ashin Kavinda (Ph.D).

MBAT is dedicated to promoting mindfulness and understanding within the Buddhist community in Tennessee (both Burmese- and English-speaking) and the larger community of people who share an interest in Buddhism and mindfulness, regardless of faith.

As a charitable organization, MBAT, Inc. abides by the rules of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and it does not engage in political activities or the promotion of political leaders.

 It is located at 2725 Whites Creek Pike, Nashville, TN 37207
